Daewoo scoops more gas carriers

Daewoo Shipbuilding in South Korea has won contracts for two LNG RVs and two LPG carriers valued at $730 million for delivery by July 2009.

The two 150,900 cbm LNG RVs were ordered by Exmar Marine and are 291m in length, 43.4m in breadth and 26m in depth. Service speed is 19.2 knots. The two 83,000 cbm LPG carriers ordered by Gulf Marine Management are 226m in length, 36.6m in breadth and 22.2m and have a service speed of 17 knots.
