Far East shipbuilders in order bonanza
Samsung has secured an order for two 115,000DWT tankers from Geden Line with delivery of 2010.
Namura Shipbuilding clinched two 250,000DWT bulk carriers from NYK Line with delivery of 2010 and 2011.
Dongnan Shipbuilding in China, clinched an order for six supply vessels from Malaysian interests at the price of $170 million.
Foremost Maritime in the USA placed an order of four cape size bulk carriers with CSSC in China.
IM Skaugen is reported to have placed a contract for five 10,000 cbm LPG carriers with Taizhou Wuzhou Shipbuilding in China. They will be delivered from 2007 to 2010.
Yangzhou Shipyard inked an 8,000DWT chemical tanker from Sumatec for delivery during 2008.
NG Livanos placed an order with Zhenjiang in China for three 5,500DWT product carriers. They will be delivered from 2007 to 2008.
