Aker builds PSV for Island

Aker Yards has signed a contract with Island Offshore in Ulsteinvik, Norway, to deliver a 4,000 dwt UT 776 CD Platform supply vessel. The total value of the contract is approximately $48.7 million. This is the 23rd contract between the ship owner Island Offshore and Aker Yards. The 93 metre hull will be built in Romania and outfitted at Aker Yards, Brevik. Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for July 2009.
