MTG Delfin opens new shipyard in Varna

Bulgarian shipbuilder MTG Delfin has opened a new shipyard in the port of Varna, on the Black Sea. The 7.9 ha. Region 2 shipbuilding and repair facility, the second in the Varna port area, is located on the Varna lake and cost over $24 million.

Region 2 is the first shipyard built from scratch here in the past 30 years and has a 168 m quay wall, an 18,000 ton floating dock and maximum berthing capacity of 50,000 DWT per ship. The new yard is the nation’s fourth shipyard and the project was funded by MTG Delfin and DSK Bank.
