Aker to build DOF OCV

Aker Yards has signed a contract with DOF ASA, through its subsidiary DOFCON ASA, for the building of a 120 metre DP3 offshore construction vessel (OCV) at a cost of $80 million. The newbuilding is of an Aker OSCV 03 design and will be delivered by Aker Yards, Aukra in June 2009. This is the second vessel of this design under construction for DOF and will be equipped with a large offshore crane.
