Qingdao names new ship

Qingdao Hyundai Shipbuilding (QHS) recently held a naming ceremony for a 2,600 DWT general cargo carrier ordered by Mirai Shipping Inc. The vessel named ?Mirai Astro? measures 80m in length, 13.6m in width, and 7m in depth with a service speed of 11.5 knots. The ship will be delivered in January 2007.
