Hanjin deploys latest boxships
Hanjin Shipping has put into service the 6,500 TEU ?Hanjin Tianjin? and ?Hanjin Xiamen?, its latest containership newbuildings, on its Asia-Europe trade.
These 27 knot high-speed newbuildings are the fourth and fifth units in an eight-ship series and will arrive on the FEX (Far East Europe Express Service), one of its Euro-Asia loops in February and March respectively after being christened at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan.
Currently, the carrier operates 80 container vessels on the 60 routes worldwide. Last year, Hanjin Shipping became the first Korean shipping company to order a number of 10,000 TEU vessels as part of its efforts to grow as a world?s top carrier.
