NYK orders two Wozmax

NYK Line in Japan has placed a new order for two 250,000DWT bulk carriers with Namura Shipbuilding. This will be the first time for an ore carrier of this size to be built. Delivery is scheduled for 2010 and 2011. They will be used for ore transport from Western Australia.

The newly designed ships are of the Wozmax type which is the maximum size vessel that can be used for ore transport from Western Australia. W stands for Western Australia and OZ is common slang for Australia.
