EU OK?s Thales DCN merger

The European Commission said it approved the proposed acquisition of joint control by French defence equipment supplier and naval prime contractor Thales, together with the French state, of French state-owned military shipyard DCN.

The commission said its market investigation concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area or any substantial part of it.
