Samsung wins more container carriers

Samsung Heavy Industries has received a $771 million contract to build six container ships from a European company. The vessels will be delivered by July 2010. The value of the order accounts for 11.2% of its recent sales of 6.35 trillion won, the shipbuilder added.

Last week, Samsung had won a 1.19-trillion-won order from a European company to build eight container ships, which will be delivered by 2011.
