STX raises sales target

STX Shipbuilding in South Korea has raised its sales target for the year to $10 billion from the previous $5.5 billion on increased orders for high-priced ships. So far this year, the shipbuilder has won deals valued at $5.3 billion to build 103 vessels. Last year, the shipbuilder clinched deals worth $4 billion.

STX Shipbuilding expects orders for high-priced ships and container vessels to continue to increase in the future.
