PRISCO launches second Suezmax

The Russian tanker operator Primorsk Shipping Corporation (PRISCO) recently launched ?PRISCO Alcor?, its second Suezmax type tanker. The 166,000 DWT newbuilding is under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipyard in South Korea and delivery is scheduled for end September.

Built to ice class 1A, the tanker has a length of 285 m, a breadth of 50 m, a draught of 15 m and is designed specially for work in the Baltic Sea. The lead vessel in this class, PRISCO Mizar, was delivered earlier this year in June.
