Second BCF Super-C ferry launched

The second of B.C. Ferries (BCF) Super C-Class vessel was recently launched at the FSG Shipyard in Flensburg, Germany. Named ?Coastal Inspiration?, the newbuilding will carry 370 vehicles and 1,650 passengers on the high-volume runs between the B.C. Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

The first vessel, ?Coastal Renaissance?, is scheduled to leave Germany next month for an expected 45-day crossing to Victoria in Canada. The other two, Coastal Inspiration and Coastal Celebration, are to be completed next January and May respectively. B.C. Ferries says all three ships are expected to be in service by next summer.
