Yangzijiang books box ship orders

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding based in China’s eastern Jiangsu province has, during the third quarter of 2007, secured shipbuilding contracts for thirteen container vessels totaling 182,349 cgt and with an aggregate contract value of $409.7 million. The company now has contracts in hand for 129 ships totaling 2.2 million cgt and worth a total 4.9 billion.

The recently ordered container vessels will be delivered progressively between 2010 and 2011.
