Hyundai expands engine plant

Hyundai Heavy Industries will spend 260 billion won ($284 million) to expand its engine plant to meet growing demand. The expansion project will start this month and be completed in December 2010, The South Korean shipbuilder will also invest 150 billion won to build a new block plant in Gunsan, some 274 kilometers southwest of Seoul, which is scheduled for completion in April next year.
