Orissa to get its first shipyard

The Orissa government in India has cleared investment proposals for a shipyard to be constructed near Dhamra. The new yard will be built by APJ-Bharati Shipping Company who submitted a proposal of Rs 2,200 crore. The project will be completed in three phases within 72 months of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
