K Line gets new LNG carrier

“K” Line LNG Shipping (UK) Limited (KLNG) in London has taken delivery of its brand new 145,000 m3 LNG carrier ?Celestine River?. This Moss LNG tanker was constructed at the Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation?s Sakaide Shipyard in Japan and will be chartered to a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy Inc. for a maximum period of 10 years.

This delivery represents a significant milestone for KLNG, as the ?Celestine River? will be the first LNG vessel being 100% owned by KLNG and will bring “K” Line Group?s LNG carrier fleet to 32 vessels in total.

KLNG will also be responsible for the ship management of the new vessel and is the fourth LNG carrier to be managed by KLNG and the eighth LNG vessel to be managed by the “K” Line Group.
