ACL announces big order

American Commercial Lines (ACL), an integrated marine transportation and services company, has entered into a six-year, $100 million, multi-vessel contract with a major customer, to build both liquid and dry cargo barges. The company, which operates America?s largest single-site inland shipbuilding and repair yard on the Ohio River in Jeffersonville, will begin construction in 2008.
