Finland considering stake in shipyards

Finland could become a part owner in shipyards to ensure that shipbuilding remains in the country according to a recent statement form prime minister Matti Vanhanen. He said the country has a great interest in keeping the cruise ship knowledge in Europe.

Norway’s Aker Yards owns three shipyards in Finland which specialise in building cruise ships and ferries.
