Importer

Multi-trade shipping line Safmarine, a subsidiary of the AP Moller-Maersk group, has recently named its second post-Panamax container vessel, the ?Safmarine Komati?, after the Komati river that runs through South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique. The 6,160 TEU vessel will join sister vessel, the ?Safmarine Kariba?, as the two largest vessels in the white-hulled Safmarine fleet. The newbuilding is 299,47 metre long and 40 metres wide and has a crew of 18.

Both vessels were deployed on the Europe – Middle East – India service, also known as Safmarine’s prime express service.
