The Danish based OW Bunker, one of the world?s largest providers of marine fuel oil, lubricants and ship services, announced the launch of five new state-of-the-art bunker fuel delivery vessels for its operations in Europe.

The announcement is part of OW Bunker?s $100 million investment strategy to develop its global fleet. In the past 12 months OW Bunker has brought on line 12 state-of-the-art new buildings, including the recent launch of the supply vessel Neptunus in May 2008. This strategy is being implemented to meet incoming MARPOL Annex I regulations, as well as to ensure that OW Bunker?s customers have constant access to quality products that are delivered with speed and efficiency, when and where they need them on a global basis.

The six new bunker fuel delivery vessels, OW Baltic, OW Scandinavia, OW Atlantic, OW Las Palmas, OW Aalborg and OW Copenhagen range from 3,500 dwt to 5,500 dwt. OW Aalborg, and OW Copenhagen will operate offshore, off Copenhagen, Kalundborg and Skaw, as well as covering all major ports in Denmark, the west coast of Sweden and the south coast of Norway. OW Baltic and OW Scandinavia will be based in the Baltic and northwest Europe; OW Las Palmas will operate offshore to service the Canary Islands and the west coast of Africa; OW Atlantic will be offshore in the North Atlantic, deployed by OW IceBunker – specialists in high seas bunkering.

All the vessels are double-hulled, with double bottoms and double sides. OW Baltic

and OW Scandinavia will provide a range of fuel products with pumping capacities of

up to 800 tonnes per hour.
