Vosta gets repeat order
Vosta LMG in Holland recently signed a contract for a repeat order with ASL Shipyard, Singapore. The contract calls for the delivery of an engineering and components package for a self propelled cutter suction dredge which ASL will construct in its Singapore shipyard and deliver to DEME in 2011.
Vosta LMG will deliver the latest in dredging technology in close co-operation with ASL Shipyard Singapore and DEME. The scope of delivery for Vosta LMG includes the complete cutter ladder, wire system spud carrier installation, spuds and spud hoisting system, submerged and inboard dredge pumps type VL900, T-system cutter heads, dredge monitoring and control system and anchor boom system.
The self propelled CSD850 will have an overall length of 97 metres on a moulded beam of 20 metres. Total installed power of the vessel is 12,860kW. The vessel will be able to dredge from depths of four to 30 metres. The diameter of its mixture pipes will be 850mm while its cutting power will be 2,500kW.
Vosta LMG?s previous contract with ASL Shipyard was signed in late April this year.
