Greatship Global takes delivery of AHTS

Greatship Global Offshore Services, a Singapore-based subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Company, has taken delivery of the ‘Greatship Abha’, an 80ton bollard pull anchor handling tug cum supply vessel, from the Colombo Dockyard in Sri Lanka.

The 2,000 dwt, 58.40 metre long newbuilding is a DP2, FiFi1 full-service vessel based on the Moss 501 AHTS design and is powered by two 2,640 kW MaK 8 M 25 diesel engines each driving a CPP in Kort nozzles giving a 13 knot service speed.

Greatship India currently owns and operates five platform supply vessel, two in India with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, two in the North Sea, and one in Mexico. Greatship India and its subsidiaries also have an order book of 17 vessels and one rig under construction.
