Western Marine Shipyard in Bangladesh, has recently signed a contract with Finland?s Lamor Corporation to build a floating reception vessel and pontoon barge and gangway foundation.
The vessel will eventually be handed over to the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA).

“The vessel will also be capable of combating situations arising from accidental oil pollution within the port limit and adjacent waters.” The vessel will also be fitted with fire-fighting equipment and will have an operational area of 50 nautical miles from the shore of the Bay of Bengal.
