Guangzhou Shipyard building ropax ferries

Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) has started building four 1,400 passenger, 2,000 lane metre ropax ferries for China Shipping (Group) Company. The four vessels will be delivered from the end of 2010 to 2012. Each 7,500 dwt newbuilding will have a length of 167.5 m and will be the most luxurious roll on/roll off passenger ships ever to be operated in Bohai Bay.

In 2003, GSI built two 29,700 gt high-speed ropax ferries for the Swedish shipping company Gotland Ferries.
