Mexican yard launches first newbuilding

The 52 metre crew boat “Aramara”, ordered by Arrendadora Ocean Mexicana (Blue Marine), is the first vessel to be built at Strategic Marine?s Mexican shipyard in Mazatlan. It is also the first Strategic Marine vessel destined for the Gulf of Mexico.

The new crew boat is one of two vessels contracted to Blue Marine and both vessels will be operated by the company as part of a long-term contract with national oil giant PEMEX.

The crew boats are based on Strategic?s Deep V High Speed Planing Hull and will be operated by a 10-man crew with a 60 passenger capacity in addition to 100

tonnes of cargo at a cruising speed of 20 knots.
