Norwegian owner orders Havyard PSV
Havyard Group shall deliver design and engineering for a Havyard 832 CD PSV to be built by Norwegian shipbuilder Simek AS for Owner Havila Shipping ASA. The vessel is to be delivered 3rd Quarter 2010 and will enter into a five year contract for Maersk.
This is the third Havyard 832 CD to be built by Simek AS. The first, NB 121 “Stril Mariner” was delivered to Simon M?kster Shipping and has a long term contract with BP. The sister vessel, NB 122 will be delivered to the same owner in March 2010.
Designed by Havyard Design AS in Fosnavåg, Norway, the 80.40 m newbuilding is a medium to large size platform supply vessel which meets the heightened market requirements. The 4,000 DWT design has more cargo capacity than current vessels, has an energy optimized diesel electric propulsion system and fulfils DnV Clean Design.
There are another seven Havyard 832 vessels under construction for different Norwegian and international owners at various shipyards in Norway. In addition to the Havyard 832, Havyard Design AS has also developed several types of AHTS, PSV, subsea maintenance vessels, diving vessels and construction vessels, some of which are under construction at shipyards in Norway, India, China and Singapore.
