Colombo yard lays keel for Indian PSV

Sri Lankan shipbuilder Colombo Dockyard has laid the keel for construction of the last unit in a four-ship series of 78 metre multipurpose PSV for Greatship India.

The design of this vessel was developed by Seatech Solutions International (S) Pte Ltd of Singapore in collaboration with the owners and shipbuilder. The plan approval and ongoing construction survey will be performed by the Lloyds Register and Indian Register Surveyors and the vessel will be dual classed by LR and IR.

The completed vessel is scheduled to be delivered by mid December 2010.
