Polarcus twin naming ceremony

The naming ceremony of Polarcus Nadia and Polarcus Naila for Dubai-based shipowner Polarcus took place at Drydocks World Dubai recently.

In 2008, the offshore shipowner Polarcus ordered six seismic vessels of Ulstein SX124 design. Hull no 66 Polarcus Nadia and hull no 67 Polarcus Naila are the first two to be named and are to be delivered in 2009 and 2010. Both will be fitted with a 3D seismic system and 12 streamer winches. Polarcus Nadia is due to commence operating in December this year on its first assignment with TGS for a 2,000 sq. km long-offset 3D survey.
