Another ‘Mitsui’s 56’ series delivered
This ‘Mitsui 56’ vessel is a handy-max type bulk carrier of with a cargo hold capacity over 70,000m3 and marks the 102nd ship of its series. The 190m long, 32.26m wide vessel is powered by a single 9,480kW Mitsui-MAN 6S50MC-C slow speed diesel engine providing a service speed of 14.5 knots.
Special features include five cargo holds and four cranes for handling cargo. In order to load various kinds of cargo, the vessel is designed to have enough strength in the tank top of cargo holds to load heavy cargoes such as hot coils. The vessel is designed in accordance with IACS URS25 so that loading flexibility has been secured and structural safety has been improved.
