Armada provides worldwide hydraulic service
THMS reduces the workload on ship managers by allowing Armada to manage the hydraulics on board their vessels on their behalf. Having experts on hand to deal with any technical hydraulic issues both remotely and through engineering visits means managers can spend their time more productively and when it comes to finding parts, Armada says its global network of suppliers can source parts, however unusual or obsolete. Parts which are unavailable or where lead times are unacceptable can be manufactured or reconditioned in the newly refurbished factory.
The idea for THMS sprang from the realisation that failures of hydraulic parts costing a few pounds can be responsible for delaying ships in port which can cost tens of thousands of pounds a day. THMS therefore aims to help ship managers avoid failures through improved system management, typically starting with a system survey, condition report and hose register and including options such as full or partial spares kits, annual inspections and planned maintenance as well as discounts on parts, labour and training.
