Sartor Offshore orders Havyard PSV
The ship will be built at Havyard’s Leirvik yard, for a scheduled delivery date in January 2012. The declared contract price for the new building is more than NOK 300 million. The 832L PSV is 86m length oa, 17.6m width, with capacity 4,200 dwt and a 15 knot speed. Accommodation is provided for 25 persons.
The medium-sized Havyard 832 is said to have proved a popular design with shipowners, this order being the 11th so far. Havyard says almost all have been contracted on long-term charters, with positive feedback, and examples which have come on the market have enjoyed good resale values.
The new vessel was contracted by Sartor Offshore in cooperation with Pareto. Sartor is aiming to renew its 24-strong OSV fleet over the next few years, and in recognition of this fact the new ships are being ordered to the highest environmental class, NOFO 2009. “We are also pleased to be able to build in Norway, which again shows that the yards here are competitive, especially in design and quality but also on price, “said Roy Wareberg, Sartor CEO.
