Lisnave activity in the first quarter of 2010
Of the 22 ships repaired, four came from Greece, and two each from Germany, Cyprus, France, Japan and Singapore. The continued focus on repeat business illustrates the what Lisnave describes as “credibility and confidence in the yard by a large group of shipownwers/managers.”
This period saw work coming from clients such as Greece’s Sun Enterprises, Cyprus Unicom Management, Japan’s Sanko Line, Singapore’s Eagle Shipmanagement, France’s “V” Ships Tankers and Norway’s Siem Offshore.
Although Lisnave continues to receive all types of vessel, it continues to focus on traditional market segments with tankers contributing significantly to the total activity amounting to 15 repairs, plus container and general cargo vessels, LPG, yacht carrier and a pipe carrier.
In line with the expected activity growth in 2010, though at a rate lower than before 2009, Lisnave says that it has a balanced order book for the near future.
