Fast underwater ship hull cleaning

The operation was performed with the largest cleaning unit in the set, the MC313 Typhoon, designed to adapt to the hull shape. The company claims that ultra large vessels can be serviced faster than with other comparable units.

During the operation two units worked continuously, which meant the fast cleaning rate allowed the entire operation to be completed in 11 hours.

Hydrex says its equipment is designed to minimise any damage to underlying paint layers while removing all types of fouling. This restores a vessel’s performance to near-optimum condition and offers significant fuel savings.
