Permanent rudder repairs without drydocking

The newly designed equipment is lightweight and can be mobilised rapidly in flight containers to make the service available worldwide.

The method allows engineers, welders and inspectors to operate in dry conditions. Class approved permanent repairs in-situ, without moving the ship, are now possible and commercial operations can continue. Steel repairs and replacements can be performed and pintle and bushing defects can be solved without the loss of time and money associated with drydocking.

The equipment will be available at the Hydrex headquarters in Antwerp and at offices in Tampa, Algeciras, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Port Gentil.
