New features for propeller CAD software

The program provides tools for the automatic preparation of 2D design drawings, 3D views, construction data, calculation of geometric properties, and CAD/CAM file export. The new release focuses on strengthening the 2D drawing of propellers, as well as product management and documentation.

Among the new features are:

• The proprietary report and CAD viewer is extensively enhanced for PropCad 2011, which now includes new document, printing, and export capabilities.
• Classification society thickness reports have been updated for American Bureau of Shipping rules (2011) and Lloyd’s Register rules (2010), including new support for high skew propellers.
• Project data now includes new fields to support implementation of HydroComp’s new file format strategy. This common JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) format will provide greater cross-product data exchange control and flexibility among all HydroComp software.
