20,000th satcom terminal delivered

The milestone terminal is being delivered to Thrane & Thrane’s German certified partner European Satellite Link (ESL), which will be installing it on a vessel owned by German shipping company Reederei Claus-Peter Offen.

The 20,000th terminal was ordered as part of a contract secured by ESL to supply Sailor 500 FleetBroadband to the Reederei Claus-Peter Offen fleet. The shipowner started to replace its old Inmarsat-B systems with FleetBroadband in 2010, and is now equipping each vessel with two Sailor 500 FleetBroadbands.
