Turbocharger repair company opens Spanish service centre
The company says that with about 300 vessels passing each day, and in a location used for bunkering and stopovers between voyages, Algeciras is well situated to service its global customer base. TurboNed Crosscomar will carry out various repairs, such as balancing, cleaning and overhaul of turbochargers as well as the sale of turbocharger spare parts.
The company says that to save time it can use its support vessel, the Kjella, which is provided with a deck crane, to transport engineers and parts for repairs afloat.
TurboNed group CEO Coert Kleijwegt says: “I am pleased with the opening of the new joint venture TurboNed Crosscomar. Algeciras is strategically located and is an excellent addition to our global network. Besides that, I am very confident about the cooperation and the specialism of our colleagues in Spain.”
