Fincantieri delivers ‘Carnival Breeze’
The Carnival Breeze is the thirtieth cruise ship to be built by Monfalcone yard and the most innovative of Carnival’s ‘fun ships’ with a completely renewed design and a new approach to accommodation.
The Carnival Breeze weighs in at 130,000 gross tonnes and measures 306m long and 37m wide. The flagship is sister to the Carnival Dream and the Carnival Magic, which Monfalcone delivered in 2009 and 2011.
Fincantieri is a builder of the largest passenger vessels. Its new ship offers a record figure for the ships built to date for Carnival with 1,845 passenger cabins as well as 746 cabins for the crew and a total capacity of over 6,200 people.
The president and CEO of Carnival Cruise Lines, Gerry Cahill was present at the ceremony, while Fincantieri was represented by both the company’s CEO, Giuseppe Bono and the chairman, Corrado Antonini.
