Farstad orders PSVs from STX OSV

Both ships will be built to STX OSV’s own PSV 07 design. The first is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2014 from STX OSV Langsten in Norway, with the hull built at STX OSV Tulcea in Romania. The second will be delivered from STX OSV Vung Tau in Vietnam, scheduled for a delivery date in the third quarter of 2014.

The PSV 07 design is 94.5m loa and 21m width, of 5,600dwt. The vessels will be built to DNV ‘Clean Design’ notation requirements, and are designed for effective and safe operations in harsh conditions.

STX OSV says it already has six PSVs and four AHTS vessels under construction for Farstad, which operates 53 offshore vessels in total.
