FORAN design CAD put to work at GYOE

Located in southern China in the Guangzhou area, GYOE specialises in the offshore market and has experience in delivering AHTS, support and maintenance vessels, multi-purpose utility vessels and tugs.

The package from Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas includes Initial Design, Hull Structure, Machinery & Outfitting, and Drafting & Mechanical CAD components. It was supported by hands-on training for the engineering personnel on different software modules, delivered by United Force Corporation (UFC).

The FORAN System is being used for its current ongoing design: a supply vessel for the operator Tidewater, with azimuth diesel-electric propulsion: this is the first hybrid propulsion and the first FORAN-designed ship for Tidewater.

Characterised by its high loading efficiency and comfortable accomodation for 60 people, the vessel has a length of 66m, beam of 20m, depth 5.9m and a maximum draft of around 4.3m. The service speed is 13 knots and the working deck area is 400 m2. The vessel is to be delivered in July 2013.
