The Bollfilter UK service contract ties in with Carnival’s planned maintenance programme, with, says the company, a number of additional cost-saving benefits including handling, cleaning, fault finding and CPD training.

Bollfilter service engineers will carry out annual service visits to each vessel in Southampton, when they will provide the crew with training and updates on technology, best practice and latest developments.

Carnival’s chief engineer, Colin Black, says:“It is vital that we maintain all the engine room equipment to the highest standards in order to prevent any risk of engine damage or failure. To that effect, we make sure that we only fit genuine Boll & Kirch spare parts and work closely with Bollfilter UK to plan our servicing and training programme. “We also have a global framework agreement with Bollfilter that enables us to obtain the very best prices for our spares worldwide”.
