Mobile service for CPP blades

The mobile measurement and balancing equipment is said to be available anywhere within driving distance of The Netherlands (including the UK), and the company says it has already been employed in Norway and Southern Spain. The service is claimed to save shipowners time and money as blades no longer have to be transported long distances to a suitable workshop.

The equipment is in addition to the company’s existing road-transportable equipment that allows FP propellers up to 15t in weight to be repaired and balanced. MPR adds that it is now working on the design of a compact air-freightable version of the CPP measurement and balancing equipment, which will enable the company to make the service available on a world-wide basis.
