Dozen more PSVs for Seatankers

It’s a large order, especially considering Seatankers Group is a new customer for Ulstein incorporating a comprehensive equipment package including design, engineering and equipment supplied by Ulstein.

The vessels, each with a deadweight of 4,700 tonnes, are 88.9m long by 19m beam, and have a loading deck area is in excess of 1,000 m². They will be equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system and a comprehensive electrical package delivered by Ulstein Power & Control. They are fitted with Azipull 100 propellers, and will be able to reach speeds of 15.5 knots. They will also be DNV Clean and Clean Design compliant.

Managing director Sigurd Viseth at Ulstein Design and Solutions explained that the association with Sinopacific spans 22 vessels incorporating Ulstein’s designs since 2007 adding that the parties concerned “benefited greatly” from an on-site dedicated project team supervising the entire process, which has ensured that construction work went smoothly.
