Early FPSO delivery from Keppel Brazil yard

FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo has a production capacity of 120,000 barrels/day of oil and is able to compress 5million m³/day of gas. Having arrived at BrasFELS in late 2011, the yard fabricated, assembled and installed the riser manifolds, laydown areas and the flare tower, and integrated the onboard systems. FPSO Cidade de Sao Paulo is now to begin operations for MTOPS, ontracted to Petrobras and its partners in the pre-salt region of the Santos Basin.

BrasFELS reports that as a result of the early delivery and good safety record it received bonuses worth around $2 million.

Presently, we are working with the yard on another project, FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba. We are confident that this project too will be delivered to our highest satisfaction.”

Scheduled to be delivered in 2014, FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba will have a production capacity of 150,000 barrels/day and a storage capacity of 1.6million barrels of oil.
