Transas signs agreement with Montanari

Under the contract, Transas will equip 11 of Montanari’s vessels with its support and maintenance programme, Transerv. Nine of the company’s vessels, which are active in the crude oil, chemical and product carrier sectors, are already equipped with Transas’ ECDIS training programmes.

Transas’ Transerv programme offers maintenance, support, warranty and update services and includes 24/7 service coordination, charts ordering, software updates and preventative maintenance.

With Transerv, navigation onboard Montanari’s vessels will remain up to date and compliant with the latest standards and regulations. It will also support changes in chart format and will ensure easy interface to other bridge systems and will allow Montanari to predict and manage its budget for simulator programmes more effectively.

Transas will also provide the onboard crew with training on new features and help with improving of vessels’ routines in using and maintaining the system.
