Olympic orders Kleven OCV

The new subsea construction vessel is similar to that ordered from Kleven in June 2012. Kleven says that over the last two years Olympic has contracted six vessels, at a total value of NOK 3 billion,at Kleven. The yard believes this recognises the competitive edge of the Norwegian maritime cluster on price and quality, and the owner’s wish to contract both building and design work from local suppliers.

This is Kleven’s 10th order in 2012, and CEO Ståle Rasmussen says he is pleased to be able to announce yet another contract with a local shipowner as the employees are preparing for the Christmas season. ”We value highly that Olympic again contracts with Kleven, Kleven look forward to delivering two large subsea support and construction vessels for Olympic,” he said.
