Seismic vessel ordered from Kleven

The yard says that the contract is subject to final board approval, is valued at around 700 million NOK, and includes an option for a second ship. The vessel will be built at Kleven’s Myklebust Verft, with delivery schduled forMarch 2015.

Length overall is 112.6m, beadth 21.5 and capacity is about 4,200dwt. Main engines are four MAN 8L32/44CR, rated 4,800kW each. The ship will be built to meet ice class ICE 1A*, making it suitable for operation in Arctic areas.

Kleven says it has 15 vessels on order, at a total value of around 8.1 billion NOK.
