MHI deck cranes for STX Construction

The two models of the technology based deck cranes, which are currently on the market, have a 30 tonne hoisting capacity and a working radius of up to 26m and 28m and are used for loading and unloading cargo. Under the agreement, MHI will supply STX Construction with components for the cranes, including hydraulic machinery.

This follows earlier licensing to China’s Jiangsu Masada Heavy Industries Co Ltd in 2008 and Korea’s SPP Machine Tech Co Ltd in January 2013.

STX Construction says it hopes to the agreement will enhance its deck crane portfolio, while MHI hopes it will promote further penetration of its cranes into the shipyards of the STX group, which has shipyards in Korea, Dalian and Europe.
