Marin Teknikk gets DCSV order from Asia

The ship will be built by China Merchants Heavy Industry (Shenzhen) and is scheduled for mid-2015 delivery. The contract includes an option for a second ship.

The vessel, to the MT6024 DCSV design, will be 120m long and 25m wide, with accommodation for 130 persons. It will be equipped with a 140t offshore crane, two ROVs for operations to depths of 3,000m and an 18-man double diving bell saturation system which can operate to 300m. The design focused on safety, multifunctional capability and environmental friendliness. A diesel-electric plant will be fitted, and the ship will be built to DNV class, to the new SPS Code, with COMF-V(3) and Clean Class notations.

Marin Teknikk has signed several new contracts recently, and this contract will be a solid contribution to ensure amount of work the coming months.”
